The Matt Buth Foundation was created in memory of DeLand High Band student Matthew Buth. We are committed to continuing his legacy of music and his reputation for helping others by promoting the musical arts, raising donations through community involvement, and distributing annual scholarships.

Just in time for the 150th anniversary of our beloved DeLand Get your DeLand-opoly today!

This has been a community project, and we are so thrilled to see its completion. There are only 750 of these games, and there will NOT be more made. With the help of local businesses and donors like you, the creation and initial shipping of the games were covered 100%. That means that every dime (minus tariffs) of the $30 goes straight to a student scholarship or mental health grant! So grab your game before they are HISTORY!

This year’s Annual MBF Gala is on April 16, 2026

Join us on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 6-9 pm at Venue 142 in DeLand. This is a beautiful night to come together for hors d’oeuvres, a plated dinner, specialty cocktails, an open bar, jazz music, an exciting silent auction, and special guest speakers, all to benefit Volusia County student scholarships and suicide prevention in our community. Tickets are 25% off until March 31st, after which they will return to the regular price of $100. This event sold out last year! So mark your calendars, and grab them early!

The Foundation was established to continue Matt’s love of music, and his caring spirit. We promise to make sure future Band students at DHS know how he always lent a helping hand, always had a smile, how he played every instrument he laid his hands on, and that he believed the world was made better with music.
